Thomas Gebauer joins ReVolt Technology, Ltd as CFO
Staefa, Switzerland, January 13, 2009 – ReVolt Technology, Ltd, a technology company, which has developed a rechargeable zinc-air battery, today announced that Thomas Gebauer has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer.Thomas brings extensive experience in financial and executive management as well as venture capital and private equity investments to his role as CFO. Thomas has joined Revolt Technology from Innolume (Germany/U.S.), the leading provider of quantum dot lasers for optical interconnects in mainstream computing applications. During his 3 years tenure at Innolume, he served as CFO and was instrumental in raising €28 million of venture capital and government funding and acquiring competitor Zia Laser, Inc. and the photonics division of the world leading semiconductor manufacturer Applied Materials, Inc. He also played a key role in the ramp up of the U.S. operations in the Silicon Valley and led the implementation of the total quality management system including certification process.
Previously Thomas was for 5 years a Principal at PEPPERMINT. Financial Partners, a German venture capital fund, where he focused on early stage investments in semiconductor and software start ups. In addition, he was a Board member or observer at a number of start-up companies.
Earlier in his career, Thomas served for 4 years as an Associate at Schroeder & Partner, a recognized German turnaround management fund that successfully restructured and exited a portfolio of 13 companies in the consumer-goods industry. While with Schroeder & Partner, he advised the portfolio companies on strategic and financial planning as well as on the acquisition and ramp up of Eastern European manufacturing facilities.
Thomas holds a Master degree in Economics from Freie University Berlin.
